Tim Kennedy
Director, Natural Resources and Environment
Tim Kennedy brings first-hand knowledge of natural resources and environmental policy to Global Public Affairs’ Natural Resources and Environment practice. Tim is a senior advisor to leading industry companies and associations in the energy, mining and forestry sectors on climate change, species at risk, environmental assessment, and sector-specific policies.
Tim's knowledge of the federal-political, parliamentary and policy process derives from experience with the Official Opposition (Canadian Alliance) in Ottawa, both as a researcher in the Office of the Leader and as an environment-policy and legislative assistant where he served as the primary point-person on environmental issues. Prior to joining Global, Tim worked with several national environmental non-governmental organizations.
Tim applies the insights gained in these experiences with the goal of developing innovative and efficient policy solutions that bring together legitimate public interests with corporate interests. Tim has studied at McGill University and the University of Toronto, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree.
