Global Public Affairs sponsored and participated in the Leadership Committee of the 2006 Calgary Woodrow Wilson Awards Dinner, held October 5, 2006. The Right Honourable Stephen Harper received the award for Public Service, and Harley Hotchkiss received the award for Corporate Citizenship. Guests from across the country joined together to pay tribute to these two men, who were chosen for this award by the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars based in Washington, D.C. Global works with the Wilson Center, specifically its Canada Institute, throughout the year on other initiatives aimed at bringing an informed dialogue and understanding to cross-border issues and concerns shared by both countries.
