Global Public Affairs expands Ontario practice

Bruce Davis, President of Urban Intelligence and Ed Arundell, Vice Chairman of Global Public Affairs, are pleased to announce that Richard Joy has joined the Toronto office effective September 1, 2006. Richard is a former special assistant to the Ontario Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing and is a former political assistant to two city councilors in the City of Toronto.

“Urban Intelligence is the only municipal consulting firm with a cross-Canada mandate,” said Davis, “and Richard will play an important role in supporting our clients throughout Ontario. His insights into local government – and his relationships with leaders across Ontario – will be very valuable to our clients.”

As a Senior Consultant, Joy will divide his time between growing Urban Intelligence’s municipal consulting practice throughout Ontario and serving provincial clients at Queen’s Park.

“Richard will also play an important role in the growth of Global’s Queen’s Park practice,” said Ed Arundell. “He brings experience from inside the provincial government and city hall. It is a great combination that fits well within our commitment to our clients to offer complete and timely coverage of all aspects of government in Ontario.
