Dan Seekings Joins Global Public Affairs

Global Public Affairs is pleased to announce that Dan Seekings has joined the firm as Vice President, Natural Resources and Environment. He joins Global’s Calgary headquartered Natural Resources and Environment practice in the Ottawa office.

Dan Seekings has had an outstanding 33-year career in the federal public service. With an unparalleled understanding of energy regulation, management and policy development, he will work closely with Global’s highly respected practice group of government relations consultants.

Dan began his career at the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs working in the northern oil, gas and mineral group, then joined the National Energy Board. In the early 1980's he worked as an exploration geologist during an executive exchange for a major oil and gas company in Calgary, before returning to the National Energy Board. In January 1990, Dan joined the office of then federal Energy Minister Jake Epp as Departmental Assistant. He continued on as Departmental Assistant/Senior Energy Advisor to a number of federal Ministers of different political stripes including Ministers McKnight, Sparrow, McLellan and Goodale.

Dan’s addition to the Natural Resource and Environment team broadens and deepens Global’s expertise in this area. With a large number of consultants devoted to this area, Global’s understanding of the oil and gas sector and the intersection with government is without parallel.
