Lorraine Royer

Lorraine brings a strong understanding of the energy industry to the team, having joined Global Public Affairs directly from the energy pipeline and oil and gas sector. Her understanding of economic policy issues facing western Canada derives from experience in commodity and transportation industries such as agriculture, rail transportation and energy pipelines. Lorraine manages our Calgary office and client relationships, and brings a regional-corporate perspective to the Global team. Lorraine is responsible for coordinating the management of Calgary clients with the Natural Resources and Environment Team, as well as building and serving a growing provincial practice which includes a broad variety of sectors.
Previously, Lorraine managed corporate government relations and chaired an internal corporate Climate Change Task Force for Enbridge, one of Canada’s energy pipeline leaders. Lorraine also served as Policy Advisor to the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada; Minister of Natural Resources Canada; and Minister Responsible for the Canadian Wheat Board.
Her government relations and policy-development background at Canadian Pacific Railway and firm appreciation of the agricultural sector strengthens Global’s services in the transportation and agri-food sector. She has a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Alberta and two undergraduate degrees, a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Economics and a Bachelor of Commerce, Marketing, both from the University of Saskatchewan. Lorraine also makes time to Chair the Government Relations Committee of the Calgary Homeless Foundation, and serve as one of its Board Members.
