Carolyn Chisholm
Senior Vice President, Natural Resources and Environment
Carolyn Chisholm contributes in-depth knowledge and insight into the policy development and political processes to organizations concerned with energy, environmental, economic development, labour market, international and aboriginal issues. Overseeing Global Public Affairs’ highly regarded Natural Resources and Environment team in both Ottawa and Calgary, she coordinates and develops sector strategies for our team of public affairs professionals across the country as Global’s national practice leader for the sector. She has advised a diverse range of domestic and international clients on a wide range of policy and process issues including environmental stewardship, climate change, environmental protection, regional development, northern development, and aboriginal affairs. Carolyn also works for not-for-profit clients, focusing on identifying opportunities for government support.
Previously, Carolyn worked for more than 10 years with federal and provincial governments. She was Senior Policy Advisor to the Federal Minister responsible for Nova Scotia, focusing on such issues as the closure of DEVCO, the federal contribution to the clean up of the Sydney Tar Ponds, and the transfer of the Halifax International Airport to a local airport authority. Carolyn also worked in the provincial government both as a policy advisor to the Nova Scotia Minster of Economic Development and Tourism, and a policy analyst with the Nova Scotia Labour Market Secretariat. .
