Carl Baltare is one of Canada's most experienced government relations and public affairs practitioners. He began his career in 1975 with Public Affairs International and has provided clients with high-level, results-focused, strategic advice and counsel for over 25 years. Prior to joining Global Public Affairs, he was Senior Vice President and Canadian Health and Pharmaceutical Practice Director with Hill and Knowlton Canada.
Carl focuses on federal and provincial government regulations, industrial and intellectual property matters while providing support for pre-and post-market health product access. He has a special interest in life sciences, pharma, medical device, diagnostic and related health products and policies. His client experience includes the most respected large-and medium-sized domestic and international life-sciences corporations, health-products industry associations, patient-advocacy groups as well as a broad range of health services providers.
Carl has been active for many years in federal and provincial politics in both elected and voluntary capacities. He holds an Honours Political Science and Economics degree from Wilfred Laurier University and a Masters in Public Administration from Carleton University.
