Dr. Art Olson
Senior Strategic Advisor, Food and Agri-business
Dr. Olson brings a broad technical background in science management, regulatory affairs, agriculture, food and environmental matters to Global Public Affairs. His 31-year career with governments included a range of senior positions with the Alberta Government, and appointments such as Assistant Deputy Minister, Research and Assistant Deputy Minister for Food Production and Inspection for Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. He was subsequently the first President of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. Through his extensive experience in a science-based environment, he has developed particular interests in problem resolution and crisis management.
